'Moses' is the culmination of a vast public transportation network with a hectic freeway system inspired by the urban planning styles of Robert Moses and Baron Haussmann and conceptually based on a fictional history where an ancient trading outpost grows into a significant metropolitan centre. Steady waves of urbanisation subsequently brought large infrastructure projects to battle with communities head-on. It sounds dramatic, but 'Moses' is meant to appear as a city with a shared history, not unlike many large American cities, ravaged, squeezed and crammed by the arrival of the automobile. The opposite of a utopian urban landscape, 'Moses' calls on the memories of dissected and deleted neighbourhoods and communities to enlighten the current generation.

Exploring dense and complex landscapes and the "concrete jungles" of modern-day cities led to the idea of 'Moses' as an exercise of extravagant urban sprawl.
