About

Curtis Holdack is a multi-disciplinary artist from British Columbia, Canada. He can now be found exploring and making art in New Zealand, where he lives with his partner and their ex-racing Greyhound.

Pondering big questions such as: 'Why is there something instead of nothing?' informs his visual work, which explores ideas of physicality and scale through fictional cartography. Obsessed with urbanism, Curtis tends to filter the world through a cartographic lens, where shapes and elements pop out from everyday life and bring new meaning to the physical world we all occupy. Experimenting with familiar places through fictional cartography has created a playful dialogue about our ideas of where we are, who we are and how we got here.
